The staff of our Institute took part in the 16th International Specialized Exhibition of Laser, Optical and Optoelectronic Equipment “Photonics. The World of Lasers and Optics”, held in Moscow from March 29 to April 1, 2022.
This year, more than 100 companies took part in the exhibition, including manufacturers of laser and optical products, dealers of large companies, research institutes, leading educational institutions in Russia and other countries. The information partner of the event was the editorial board of the scientific and technical journal “Photonics” (Chief Editor – Head of the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Branch in Troitsk, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences A.V. Naumov).
Our team members took an active part in the second day of the FIAN stand, which was dedicated to new nanomaterials and sensors being developed in the Laboratory of New Photonic Materials of the Department of Advanced Photonics and Sensors of the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Branch in Troitsk. Various types of SERS-active substrates were presented, including those with metal nanowires and dendritic nanostructures. Such nanomaterials can be used to study complex organic molecules and cellular structures, analyze spectra and detect small amounts of matter (up to individual molecules), including in a gaseous medium. Our employees presented an experimental stand for rapid diagnostics of substances by SERS spectroscopy, as well as a working model of a flexible heater based on three-dimensional grids of metal nanowires.
