Online courses “Lectorium. Open a window to science” at the site of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Registration for the courses “Lecture Hall. Open a window into science” on the website of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Two courses from our colleagues are presented:
1) Quantum kinetic theory of photoluminescence (Gladush Maxim Gennadievich, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Head of the Department of Moscow Polytechnic University).
Where does the light that allows us to see the world around us come from? Is it possible to see and learn a little more than the naked eye allows? What are the smallest light sources? Can they be controlled? And finally, what can the smallest flashlight “tell” about how the world works?
Students of this course will be able to answer these questions in the future. In this course, you will learn about the types of particles that can absorb and emit visible light;

2) Quantum mechanics from scratch (Frenchman Pavel Anatolyevich, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Head. Laboratory of Theoretical Chemistry of the Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Gorenje SB RAS named after V.V. Voevodsky)
This course is devoted to the basic concepts of quantum mechanics, such as the state vector, quantum measurement, quantum superposition and others. They are introduced without the use of a complex mathematical apparatus based on the discussion of modern experiments with single photons
