Basov’s readings 5.12.22 – Lipetsk, 6.12.22 – Voronezh.

The joint meeting “Basov’s Readings”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of N.G. Basov, was held at LGTU on December 5, 2022.

Physicists from the largest scientific centers of Russia gathered in the hall of the Scientific Council. All of them are united by the scientific school, which was headed by our famous countryman, academician, Nobel Prize laureate Nikolai Gennadievich Basov. The event was opened by the rector of GTU P.V. Saraev. The meeting was attended by the first vice-rector A.K. Pogodaev and the Vice-rector for Research and Innovation of LGTU S.E. Kuzenkov.

On December 6, the assembly hall of the main building of VSU hosted the “Basov’s Readings” (a joint meeting of the Physical Institute named after Lebedev Russian Academy of Sciences (FIAN), National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI” and VSU). The scientific event was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of Soviet and Russian physicist, Nobel laureate Nikolai Basov. On this day, thematic works dedicated to the professor’s legacy were presented by scientists from all over the country.

The program of the meeting included speeches by leading specialists of Voronezh and the country: Professor of the FIAN Sergey Savinov, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FIAN) Andrey Naumov, Professor of the NRU MEPhI Andrey Kuznetsov, leading researcher of the FIAN Vladimir Zvorykin. The Dean of the Physics Faculty of VSU Oleg Ovchinnikov said a word for the participants of the event.
