Topic: “Semiconductor Disk Lasers: Recent Results”
Abstract: First, we will give a brief overview of the achievements in the field of semiconductor disk lasers (SDLs). Then, the results of two recent studies in this area, conducted in our laboratory, will be presented. The influence of pump non-uniformity on the characteristics of a 780 nm wavelength SDL will be discussed. Additionally, the possibility of creating a powerful (>100 W), pulsed (1 μs) laser with intracavity pumped heterostructure will be considered using a 640 nm wavelength SDL as an example.
