“Nevskaya Photonika-2023”

Scientists of the Laboratory of Physics of Advanced Materials and Nanostructures at MPSU have successfully presented the results of their research at the “Nevskaya Photonika-2023” conference.

The First “Nevskaya Photonika-2023” Conference took place in St. Petersburg in October 9-13, with more than 350 participants from 27 cities in Russia and 4 bordering countries.

Photonics today encompasses a wide range of scientific research, such as laser systems, quantum informatics, nonlinear optics, optical study of materials, biophotonics, telecommunications, environmental monitoring, security, aerospace industry applications, and even in art, for example, optical methods for diagnosing monuments. Research in the field of photonics covers a huge range of areas, with new discoveries being made every day. At the conference showcased the latest cutting-edge research in this field.

The dcientists from the laboratory presented the researches :

– Konstantin Magaryan presented a method for studying nanoscale objects using combined fluorescent and atomic force microscopy.

– Asya Inozemtseva synthesized and characterized silver nanoparticles of different morphologies, using analysis of absorption spectra, combination light scattering, and modern microscopy methods.

– Artem Arzhanov revealed the peculiarities of the luminescent spectra of colloidal CdSe/CdS/ZnS quantum dots, studying their temperature effects and electron-phonon interaction.

The conference attendees expressed their gratitude for the dynamic and engaging presentations, which were interesting to both scientists and young researchers.

The “Nevskaya Photonika-2023” conference not only served as a platform for knowledge exchange but also contributed to the establishment of scientific connections, emphasizing the importance of such gatherings for advancing scientific research.
