The General Meeting of the members of the Russian Academy of Sciences took place on December 12 and 13. During the opening of the meeting, the President of the RAS, Gennady Krasnikov, noted that its goal is for the Academy to participate in finding solutions to the problems of scientific and technological development in Russia. It is expected that recommendations will be developed for the departments of the RAS as a result of the meeting, which will be directed to the Government of the Russian Federation.

The scientific program of the General Meeting included presentations and reports on the development of microelectronic technologies, the role of universities in training specialists, reliable artificial intelligence, climate change issues, changes in the global order, and other relevant topics closely related to strengthening Russia’s scientific and technological sovereignty.
