Abstract: One of the key problems of modern photonics is the development of methods for economically efficient synthesis of nanostructures with specified chemical composition and morphology. Alongside traditional methods such as CVD, epitaxy, lithography, laser printing and ablation, colloidal and electrochemical synthesis, the DNA origami method has been rapidly gaining popularity in recent years. The article describes the principles underlying the DNA origami method, as well as some examples of its application.
