P.N. Lebedev Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences took part in the 17th International Specialized Exhibition of Laser, Optical and Optoelectronic Technology “Photonics. The World of Lasers and Optics”, held at the Expocenter (Moscow) from 28 to 31 March 2023.
The exhibition was attended by representatives of enterprises and manufacturers of laser and optical products, research institutes and leading educational institutions of Russia, Belarus and Armenia. In addition, in 2023, about 30 specialized companies from China became participants of the exhibition. The information partner of the event was traditionally the editorial board of the scientific and technical journal “Photonics” (editor-in–chief – head of the TOR FIAN, corresponding member. RAS A.V. Naumov).
On March 29, LPIemployees took part in the section “Photonics nodes and devices for scientific instrumentation” of the XI Congress of the Photonics Technology Platform with a report “Three-dimensional (3D) nanoscopy based on structured light fields” (D.V. Prokopova, N.N. Losevsky, S.A. Samagin, S.P. Kotova, I.Y. Eremchev, I.T. Mynzhasarov, A.V. Naumov), prepared based on the results of the work carried out jointly by the staff of the TSD LPI, the Samara branch of FIAN, the Institute of Spectroscopy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Moscow Pedagogical State University.
On March 31, an expanded meeting of the Council for Optics and Photonics of the Department of Physical Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held, where the most important results of scientific institutes under the scientific and methodological guidance of OFN RAS were discussed. Reports of representatives of scientific collectives from different cities of Russia were heard: Moscow (LPI, ISAN, FNIC IOF RAS, FNIC “Crystallography and Photonics RAS”), St. Petersburg (FTI named after A.F. Ioffe RAS), Chernogolovka (IFTI RAS), Nizhny Novgorod (IPF RAS), Tomsk (IA SB RAS), Novosibirsk (ILF SB RAS), Vladivostok (IAPF FEB RAS). FIAN employees presented reports: “Portable optical clocks on one ytterbium ion” (I.A. Semerikov, I.V. Zalivako, A.S. Borisenko, M.D. Aksenov, N.N. Kolachevsky, K.Y. Khabarova), “Liquid crystal ferroelectric as an electro-optical medium of space-time phase modulators of light” (E.P. Pozhidaev, M.V. Minchenko, A.V. Kuznetsov, T.P. Tkachenko, V.A. Barbashov) and “Three-dimensional fluorescent nanoscopy with hardware modification of the point scattering function” (I.Y. Eremchev, D.V. Prokopova, N. H. Losevsky, I.T. Mynzhasarov, S.P. Kotova, A.V. Naumov). The participants of the seminar were awarded honorary diplomas of the Department of Physical Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The participants of the exhibition “Photonics-2023” had the opportunity to get acquainted with the main areas of training of scientific personnel in the graduate school of FIAN. Following the presentation of scientific achievements and technological developments, the FIAN team was awarded a diploma at the 17th International Specialized Exhibition of laser, optical and optoelectronic technology “Photonics. The world of lasers and optics”.
