Saratov Fall Meeting 2023

The international forum “Saratov Fall Meeting 2023” took place at Saratov Chernyshevsky State University on September 26th. This year’s conference was dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the 95th anniversary of the VI Congress of the Russian Association of Physicists.

One of the speakers was Andrew Naumov, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the head of the LPI RAS, Branch in Troitsk, who talked about the advantages and new horizons in the single molecule spectroscopy and nanoscopy.

The Saratov international forum included several sections: “Spectroscopy and Molecular Modeling,” “Nanobiophotonics,” “Internet Biophotonics,” “Low-Dimensional Structures,” “Biomedical Spectroscopy,” “Computational Biophysics and Analysis of Biomedical Data,” “Advanced Materials for Optics and Biophotonics,” “Terahertz Optics and Biotechnology,” “Laser Physics and Photonics,” “Nonlinear Dynamics,” “Microscopic and Low-Coherence Methods in Biomedical and Non-Biomedical Applications,” “Advanced Polarization Technologies in Biomedicine and Materials Science,” and “Electromagnetism of Microwaves, Submillimeter, and Optical Waves.”

SFM’23 included the 11th International Symposium on Optics and Biophotonics, the 27th International Interdisciplinary School for Young Scientists and Students on Optics, Laser Physics, and Biophotonics, as well as a Chinese-Russian seminar on biophotonics and biomedical optics and the continuation of the II Scientific Seminar of BRICS countries on biophotonics. These events contributed to the development of international scientific cooperation and the exchange of expertise in the field of optics and biophotonics.

“Saratov Fall Meeting 2023” is one of the important events organized by Saratov University as part of the strategic project “Personalized Medicine Technologies” of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science’s “Priority-2030” program. This indicates the significance of the development of this field for modern medical progress.
